Prince & Knight by Daniel Haack, illustrated by Stevie Lewis and published by Little Bee Books is just over a year old. A picture book at forty pages long, it celebrates a prince in search of his perfect mate.
Recently it was used for a storytime at ImagineIf libraries in Flathead County Montana, after which a concerned parent published a letter to the editor in the local newspaper. Among other things, the writer asked for the book to be removed from the collection.
The board of trustees voted for the book to remain on the shelves.
