George W. Bush attacks Trump over HIV/AIDS funding

Former president George W. Bush wrote a column for the Washington Post to defend PEPFAR funding.  PEPFAR is a program that provides funding for the treatment, care, and prevention of HIV/AIDS, mostly in Africa and the Caribbean.  Mr. Trump feels that this money would be better spent on the U.S. military.

Official Involved in Bush-Era Purge of Gay Employees Now in Trump Administration

Jim Renne, was a key player in the scandal to find and remove LGBT+ people from his government-funded organization, one that was built to protect whistle-blowers.  Mr. Renne has been appointed by Trump to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
