Thousands Swarm Stonewall Inn To Protest Trump

Braving the cold February weather, thousands took gathered around the Stonewall Inn, lead by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, to demand an end to Trump’s executive orders.

Virginia House Passes Anti-LGBTQ ‘Religious Freedom’ Bill

Regardless of a similar bill being vetoed by the Governor last year, the Virginia House of Delegates approved what they titled “Solemnization of Marriage,” a bill that would allow government contractors to discriminate against LGBT+ individuals.  Nicolas Freitas, who sponsored the bill, stated that he believes sexual identity is a “venereal passion”.

VP Pence defended Trump’s decision to let stand Obama’s 2014 order to protect some LGBT workers.  This is the executive order that the New York Times reported Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner were key in convincing Trump to keep.  LGBT+ people still fear a “religious liberty” executive order which many anti-gay conservatives religious people are expecting.
