Wikipedia Holds Wiki Loves Pride Event

On June 20th (and thereabouts) this year, the Wikimedia Foundation held its first ever “Wiki Loves Pride” event. The event sought to bring together people in cities around the country and the world to improve the LGBT content available on Wikipedia. The goal is not only to increase the total number of articles dealing with LGBT subjects, but it also hopes to increase the depth and scope of existing articles. 14 cities around the world registered an event, and the results can be found here.

It seems as if this event will be ongoing, so be sure to check in your area for a Wiki Loves Pride 2015 event or start thinking about hosting one yourself!
