Texas Teacher Placed on Leave After Making Plea for LGBT Inclusion

Stacy Bailey, elementary teacher in the Dallas-Fort Worth suburbs, has been placed on administrative leave after sending an email to school administrators requesting that they consider the addition of inclusive language in district policy.  She was not given a reason for being put on leave.

The 6th Circuit Court of Appeals unanimously overturned a lower court ruling, making it clear that employers must comply with Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, even if it goes against their religious beliefs.
