Trump Taps LGBTQ-Rights Opponent Sam Brownback as Religious Freedom Ambassador

Mr. Trump has nominated Kansas Governor Sam Brownback, a staunch and outspoken opponent of LGBTQ rights, as the Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom.  This section of the U.S. Department of State is responsible for promoting religious freedom as a fundamental goal of U.S. foreign policy.  Brownback’s LGBTQ record includes revoking antidiscrimination orders and allowing university groups to exclude LGBTQ members, among others.

 Majority of Americans support transgender people in the military according to new poll

In a poll coordinated by Reuters in July, 58 percent of Americans participating in the poll believed that transgender citizens should be allowed to serve in the military.
