During the recent ALA Midwinter 2017 conference, the GLBTRT hosted a social gathering at the Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta. Organizers estimate there were approximately 200 in attendance. During the festive event, the Adult Stonewall winners were announced, as well as the Over the Rainbow top ten. In addition, it was announced that Ann Symons would receive ALA’s top honor; the lifetime honorary membership. Congratulations Ann on this distinguished honor!!
This delightful evening was sponsored by Gale and their new database, Archives on Gender and Sexuality.

Grounding ourselves in the history of Civil and Human Rights at the Center, through our partnership with Gale Cengage, in the company of our special guests ALSC and Spectrum, and matched by the incredible support of ALA’s ODLOS leadership, it was a social to remember,” said Deb Sica, GLBTRT Chair.
