New resources available on the GLBTRT Professional Tools page

The GLBT Round Table’s Professional Tools page has seen a number of recent additions and improvements.  The page now includes a Google map display of GLBTQ libraries and archives in the US and Canada , and a bibliography of recent African American LGBT books.  The page also includes Nancy Silverrod’s “Soldier Girls and Dancing Boys” bibliography for gender-exploring children and teens , and the page’s bibliography on anti-LGBTQ hate crimes has seen major revision.

This work was coordinated by the round table’s newly formed GLBT Resources committee.  The committee is currently working on creating bibliographies on same-sex marriage, same-sex parenting, LGBTQ Asian Americans, LGBTQ Latin@s, and bullying against LGBTQ teens; as well as a resource for libraries hoping to implement or advocate for gender neutral restrooms.  The committee would be thrilled to hear your comments or suggestions for future resources.  You can get in touch using the committee’s web contact form.

Editor’s Note: I apologize to the committee for not posting this sooner…it fell through the cracks in my inbox. -John Mack F.
