Bill in Congress would reign in abuse of religious freedom act
In response to increasing charges from individuals, businesses, and organizations using “religious freedom” as a tool to discriminate, Rep. Joe Kennedy of Massachusetts and Rep. Bobby Scott of Virginia introduced the ‘Do No Harm Act,’ which is an amendment to the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. The Do No Harm Act mainly states that that civil rights supersede claims of religious exemptions.
