Gallup Poll Shows Increase in Weddings for Gay Adults

Prior to the U.S. Supreme Court ruling clearing the way for nation-wide marriage equality, less than 8% of LGBT couples were married to a same-sex partner.  That increased to 9.6% in 2016, according to the poll.  LGBT people over the age of 50 were most likely to be married.

San Francisco will open first affordable housing for senior citizens

They city will partner with two housing non-profits to build housing for LGBT seniors.  “In a city that is in some ways very youth-focused, it’s nice to have a home that’s specifically about seniors. That’s specifically about seniors who led a particular civil rights movement from this city, in this city, who can stay in this city,” says one organizer.

Authorities delayed investigating gay ‘demons’ case

In the case where church members allegedly verbally and physically abused a gay member, the Associated Press has found that authorities, including the District Attorney delayed the case for nearly two years.
