A new volume from acclaimed social activist and lesbian-feminist poet Judy Grahn may be of interest to some members. The book is set to be published in September by Arktoi Books, an imprint of Red Hen Press.
The collection, Hanging On Our Own Bones, will contain a selection of poetry spanning 40 years, and aims to reintroduce Grahn’s work to a new generation of readers. Grahn was the recipient of a Stonewall Book Award in 1985 for her work Another Mother Tongue: Gay Words, Gay Worlds.
Red Hen Press is a non-profit publisher, and is looking for community support for this project. They are running a Kickstarter campaign to fund the volume, which you can view here.
