In a first for this area of the globe, Taiwan’s constitutional court declared same-sex couples do have the right to marry legally.

While US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley has urged Russia to investigate the reports of torture and murder, as of the time of this writing, Buzzfeed reports that approximately 40 LGBT+ Chechens have applied for asylum in the US, and all have been denied.

Lebanon Launches Arab World’s First Gay Pride Week

Pride Lebanon announced a first for an Arab country, a celebratory pride week.  While the opening ceremony has been canceled due to threats of violence from Islamist groups, the week-long series of events is still planned.
