10M U.S. Adults Now Identify As LGBT

According to Gallup, this represents a 1.75M Increase since 2012.  The change is largely attributed to out millennials.  The percentage of American adults identifying LGBT increased to 4.1% in 2016 from 3.5% in 2012.  These figures suggest an estimated 10 million adults now identify as LGBT in the U.S. today.

Golden Girls Café

The Golden Girls taught generations of people how to love and respect each other, how to be fabulous at any age, and how to indulge in cheese cake.  The new Golden Girls café is reported to be opening soon in the Washington Heights neighborhood in NYC.  No official date has been announced.

Protesters Shut Down Yiannapolous, Shkreli Event at UC-Davis

Milo Yiannapolous and Martin Shkreli were scheduled to speak Friday night at UC Davis, but were blocked by students forming a human chain around the auditorium.  Yiannapolous released false information indicating property damage and violence, all of which campus police denied.

Anti-Gay Counselor Gets $25,000 From Missouri State

Missouri State University has agreed to pay $25,000 to a former student who claimed he was targeted for his religious beliefs and kicked out for refusing to counsel gay couples.  When the student expressed his refusal to council gay couples, the organization he was interning with removed him from their organization.  Among conditions of the settlement, the student is not allowed to seek admission or employment with the university, and the university does not admit liability.
