Participation in the San Francisco Pride Parade is a ticketed event open only to GLBTRT members. We will join the San Francisco Public Library Contingent. THERE ARE A LIMITED NUMBER OF TICKETS AVAILABLE.
This year marks the 45th anniversary of the GLBTRT. In order to buy a ticket to participate in the parade you must be registered for ALA Annual Conference. You may purchase 1-2 tickets as part of your conference registration. Tickets will be available with conference and housing registration which opens tomorrow at noon CST. Bundled registrants can add the event to their registration online.
Due to space limitations tickets are only available to members of the GLBTRT at this time and are limited to 2 per conference registrant. Marchers will receive a commemorative t-shirt.
ALA will know the lineup of the parade two weeks before Annual Conference. This will determine our start time and the time you need to show up. Parade participants will be required begin the parade with the contingent to stay with the parade contingent until the end of the parade. Joining after the start of the contingent is not permitted not is leaving. The parade route is one mile long and participants must commit to walking the entire distance with the group. Wheelchairs and motorized scooters are allowed.
