Geeks Out is an organization that began in 2010 with goal of uniting queer people at geek events and to promote the visibility of LGBT people and issues at these events. They are now taking this one step further by seeking to host their first ever entirely queer-themed convention called “Flame Con,” slated to happen in New York City in 2015.
