“Every year, the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Round Table (GLBTRT) of the American Library Association seeks to honor librarians, library related organizations (including libraries, library staff, library boards, library friends), and other individuals or groups (public or private) that have demonstrated excellence in the area of responding to the needs of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community.
GLBTRT seeks to celebrate and recognize the accomplishments of its peers. Members are an integral part of a successful awards program. GLBTRT urges members to nominate colleagues whose work has influenced their thinking and growth, and whose contributions merit recognition by the profession. Member nominations will ensure that the pool of candidates for each award remains both competitive and distinguished. Nominations and supporting materials for these awards must be submitted by December 1, 2017.”
