CHINA: LGBTI activists arrested by police

According to a Reuters report, police told the LGBT+ activist group “Speak Out” that the city did not welcome gay people.  The nine activists were held by police for approximately eight hours and then released.  They had planned to hold an LGBT+ rights conference in the northwestern city of Xian.

Grindr fully bought out by Chinese gaming company

Last year Grindr sold a portion of itself to a Chinese company.  The Chinese gaming company has since purchased the remaining shares of the gay dating app.  China is also home to the world’s most popular gay dating app, Blued.
