Out CNN anchor Anderson Cooper is about to travel to one of the few places he has never been before: the Marvel Universe. In the upcoming issue of Black Widow (#12), Cooper will appear as himself. His show will serve as a catalyst for big changes in Black Widow’s world. His appearance comes after the writers at Marvel discovered that Cooper was a fan of the series. Via PinkNews:
Writer Nathan Edmondson said: “I found that [Anderson Cooper] was a comic book fan and reader and shared some of my work with him over a year ago.
“Then as we were strategizing upcoming issues of BLACK WIDOW I had this idea for an opportunity to involve him directly in the book.
“He was thrilled with the idea and we were thrilled that he was thrilled and so we set about setting the issue up and going through the steps for approval.
“Fortunately, it was all nice and easy and everybody involved was excited about the idea.â€
