The stories may help young adults striving to overcome adversity from intolerance and homophobia as they yearn to be true to themselves.<\/p>\n<p>Each chapter begins with a brief biography of the author and a short statement of the story\u2019s factual basis.\u00a0 Although these stories don\u2019t always have happy endings, they are thirteen glimpses into the reality faced by LGBTQ teens today.
