The South Carolina Senate has restored the cut funding, but the restoration <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pinknews.co.uk\/2014\/05\/14\/us-south-carolina-senate-tells-universities-to-teach-american-ideals-instead-of-gay-books\/\">has come with the provision that the schools must use the money to teach &#8220;American ideals&#8221; <\/a>(because, apparently, LGBT acceptance isn&#8217;t American). The suggested topics from the Senate include the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.
