The protests, led by Harlem resident and transgender activist Jennifer Louise Lopez, called for a citywide day of solidarity on Easter to speak out against churches that preach intolerance.<\/p>\n<p>Neither the pastor nor any representatives of the church met with protesters, and the protest broke up without a single person being stoned.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The ATLAH Missionary Baptist Church in New York City has become notorious over the last few weeks for their signs that have demonized the LGBT population.
