The GLBTRT encourages all members to like support the new Facebook group for the increasingly popular Drag Queen Story Hour.<\/p>\n

According to a recent report from Spotlight News, more than 200 people recently attended an event at Albany Public Library in New York, where a drag queen read stories and sang songs and even held a dance party! Check out their report here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Below are comments from the administrator of the Facebook group. J. Turner Masland is Access Services Manager for Sonoma State University Library.<\/p>\n

“We have decided as a group not to engage but rather, we are in the process of making community\/page guidelines to post and a few informational videos about DQSH.<\/p>\n

I do ask, if you can, have time, energy or wit to stop by our page and give us some love. I’m not asking to fight back (I can’t tell you what to do though) but just show the families, teens, and community who follow us how loved they are!! Also reporting hateful comments is super helpful too.”<\/p>\n
