Trump?s Strategic HHS Plan Erases All Mention of LGBTQ People and Their Health Needs<\/a><\/p>\n

HRC<\/a> reports that the Department of Health and Human Services 2018-2022 strategic plan<\/a> has been scrubbed of all mention of LGBTQ-related issues.<\/p>\n

Even though there is already a law that allows discrimination against LGBTQ people on the grounds of ?religious freedom?, Mississippi enacted a second law that goes further by identifying three specific religious beliefs that can be used to discriminate; that marriage is between a man and a woman, that sex should only exist in a marriage, and that sex is determined at the time of birth. ?This law was enacted in direct defiance of the 2015 U.S. Supreme Court?s decision granting marriage equality.<\/p>\n
