Boone’s article examines the ?stanbul Ansiklopedisi, an idiosyncratic and unfinished project of a Turkish historian, as a below-the-radar archive of mid-20th century queer history and representation.<\/p>\n

Hull, Shawnika et al. “Evaluation of the Acceptance Journeys Social Marketing Campaign to Reduce Homophobia.” American Journal Of Public Health<\/em> 107.1 (2017): 173-179. http:\/\/dx.doi.org\/10.2105\/AJPH.2016.303528<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Acceptance Journeys campaign ran from 2011 to 2015 in the Black community in Milwaukie, WI. It’s specific aim was to reduce homophobia in this specific community. Survey data over four years show the marketing campaign reached its target audience and indicate a promising model for addressing homophobia in other Black communities.<\/p>\n

This study discusses coverage of LGBTI individuals in the mainstream and LGBTI media during two disasters in Australia and New Zealand.<\/p>\n

Call for Chapters<\/h2>\n

A proposed edited volume collecting case studies on “reading for health and well-being in libraries and information services” may be in the works at Facet Publishing. Desired essays will focus on the therapeutic use of books and media for specific groups of people, including LGBT communities.<\/p>\n

Those interested in submitting a chapter should prepare a 200-300 word abstract by March 3, 2017.<\/p>\n
