A few hours into the case, a district judge dismissed the case. So why does this matter?<\/p>\n<p>Activists say that this is the first time to their knowledge that a court has agreed to hear a case related to same-sex marriage in China in the first place. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pinknews.co.uk\/2016\/04\/13\/china-court-blocks-first-same-sex-marriage-in-landmark-case\/\">Via PinkNews<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Following the swift dismissal, Sun said he believed the court had not taken enough time to consider their case and been ?too cautious?.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the set [back], he vowed to carry on his fight for the right to marry.<\/p>\n<p>?We will continue to appeal. I think it is worthwhile. It catches people?s attention and it will help our opinions spread,?
