Governor Pat McCrory signed the law the same day. Via <a href=\"http:\/\/digital.olivesoftware.com\/olive\/odn\/virginianpilot\/shared\/ShowArticle.aspx?doc=VirginianPilot%2F2016%2F03%2F24&amp;entity=Ar00604&amp;sk=DA9DF365\">Associated Press<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"indent\">The Republican-controlled General Assembly took action after Charlotte leaders last month approved a broad anti-discrimination measure.
