Via <a href=\"http:\/\/www.towleroad.com\/2015\/12\/anti-trans-bathroom-initiative-fails-make-ballot-california\/\">Towleroad<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Had it been approved by California voters, the ?Personal Privacy Protection Act??would have?required trans?people to use public restrooms according to their biological sex unless?a doctor confirmed they had undergone gender?reassignment surgery.<\/p>\n<p>In response to Privacy for All?s announcement, the coalition of LGBT groups opposing the initiative<a href=\"http:\/\/www.eqca.org\/civil-rights-coalition-ready-to-launch-education-campaign-following-failed-anti-transgender-ballot-push\/\" target=\"_blank\">unveiled?a campaign<\/a> to educate voters about trans issues in an effort to stave?off similar efforts?in the future<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The same group also failed to put an almost identical measure on the ballot two years ago.
