Some of the highlights include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>58 percent of LGBTQ adults have been the subject of slurs or jokes at some point in their lives<\/li>\n<li>30 percent of LGBTQ adults have been attacked or physically threatened<\/li>\n<li>32 percent see the legal rights of LGBTQ people to be the most important problem facing the community<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The website is currently up and down, but <a href=\"http:\/\/webcache.googleusercontent.com\/search?q=cache:ZQ1oteH6K1EJ:shareourtomorrow.org\/our-hopes-and-fears\/+&amp;cd=1&amp;hl=en&amp;ct=clnk&amp;gl=us\">a cached version of the report can be read here.<\/a>?Via <a href=\"http:\/\/www.advocate.com\/families\/2015\/07\/12\/exclusive-new-survey-catalogues-lgbt-hopes-and-fears\">Advocate.com:<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The project is called <a href=\"http:\/\/shareourtomorrow.org\/learn_about_our_community\/\" target=\"_blank\">Our Tomorrow<\/a>, and will provide 125 nonprofit foundations and other partner groups with new data to better engage lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and other gender-nonconforming and questioning individuals across the country.<\/p>\n<p>Those <a href=\"http:\/\/shareourtomorrow.org\/partners\/\" target=\"_blank\">partner groups<\/a> range from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.glaad.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">GLAAD<\/a>, to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thetaskforce.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">National LGBTQ Task Force<\/a>, to local groups nationwide. Funding is provided by the Arcus Foundation, the Evelyn and Walter Haas, Jr. Fund, the Ford Foundation, the Johnson Family Foundation, and the Palette Fund.<\/p>\n<p>By canvassing at Pride and other events in 40 cities this summer, survey organizer Hattaway Communications has already culled 6,000 submissions, and welcomes more through its website ??<a href=\"http:\/\/shareourtomorrow.org\/learn_about_our_community\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>shareourtomorrow.org<\/em><\/a>?? through August 17.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By John Mack Freeman A new analysis of more than 100 studies related to LGBT well-being and happiness has been released this week.
