This is the highest level of support ever recorded by this poll. This is almost a doubling of support from 2004 when the poll recorded its lowest support rate of 32 percent. The poll showed equivalent support for disallowing state&#8217;s to ban same-sex marriage and requiring states to recognize same-sex marriages performed in other states. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/page\/2010-2019\/WashingtonPost\/2015\/04\/23\/National-Politics\/Polling\/release_395.xml\">Click here for the full poll.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A poll by the HRC has shown that 22 percent of people say they know or work with a trans person, up from 17 percent last year.
