Over 77 percent of those who voted in the election were in favor of including the new language. Via <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lonestarq.com\/dallas-adds-lgbt-protections-to-city-constitution-in-landslide-vote\/\">Lone Star Q:<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Dallas already prohibited discrimination against city employees based on sexual orientation and gender identity and expression in its equal employment opportunity policy.<\/p>\n<p>However, earlier this year, the mayor and City Council appointed a Charter Review Commission to review the City Charter and recommend amendments.
