For Dr. Yen Chang-Lee, this meant naming <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pinknews.co.uk\/2014\/10\/13\/taiwan-new-species-of-snail-named-in-celebration-of-same-sex-marriage\/\">a newly discovered species of snails in honor of same sex marriages<\/a>. The snail has been dubbed <em>Aegista Diversifamilia,\u00a0<\/em>and the authors of the study have said that it was meant to represent the diversity that occurs throughout the animal kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>A marriage equality bill has been stalled in Taiwan after being introduced by the opposition party.
