The Publishing Triangle, the association of lesbian and gay men in publishing, has announced its annual literary awards finalists. The awards ceremony will be April 24, 2014, 7:00 pm at the Auditorium of the New School (66 West 12th Street in New York City).  at 7 p.m. The free public ceremony is followed by a reception. Playwright MarÃa Irene Fornés has been awarded the Bill Whitehead Award for lifetime achievement, and Sinister Wisdom magazine is being honored with the Leadership Award.
Also scheduled is the sixth annual Rainbow Book Fair on March 29 (noon to 6:00 pm) at the Holiday Inn Midtown, 440 W. 57th St. (btw 9th and 10th Aves). More than 100 authors and publishers will show and sell their books in the general ballroom. A $3 donation is suggested. For more information, visitwww.rainbowbookfair.org.
