ALASKA: Anchorage Rejects Anti-Trans Initiative

The votes of Anchorage citizens have been counted and they have rejected an initiative that would have regulated access to restrooms and locker rooms by the gender listed on their birth certificate.

Maryland lawmakers ban gay conversion therapy for minors

After a 95-27 vote, Governor Larry Hogan will sign the bill into law.  The objections to the bill were mainly religion-based.  More specifically, Senator Bryan Simonaire (R) argues that conversion therapy is okay for children if it is done in “a loving way.”

Grindr Is Letting Other Companies See User HIV Status And Location Data

Soon after it was reported on Buzzfeed.com that the dating app Grindr was revealing location and HIV status, the company insisted it will immediately stop sharing such information.
