Trump Terminated All Members Of HIV/AIDS Council Without Explanation

The White House fired all 16 members of the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS (PACHA).  This comes after six members had resigned in protest to “a president who simply does not care.”

Asia made big strides in LGBT rights in 2017

The South Pacific and parts of Asia made strides in LGBTQ rights in 2017 including Taiwan, Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, and China.

Transgender legal group sues Wal-Mart for workplace discrimination

Charlene Bost worked at Sam’s Club in North Carolina from 2011 through 2015 when she was fired.  The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission found evidence of discrimination and harassment after Bost transitioned during her employment.  This is not the first time Wal-Mart has faced lawsuits for their treatment of LGBTQ people.  In fact, the HRC revoked Wal-Mart’s perfect 100 Corporate Equity score earlier this year.
