Edie Windsor, Mother of Marriage Equality, Dead at 88

Edie Windsor, whose Supreme court case against the federal government paved the way for marriage equality, died.  A public memorial is at 12:30pm on Friday, September 15th at Riverside Memorial Chapel in New York City.

Row over AI that ‘identifies gay faces’

Stanford University has created software that it claims recognizes facial features related to sexual orientation.  GLAAD and the HRC have spoken out against the claims, which have not been replicated.

Justice Dept Sides Against Same-Sex Couple

The Justice Department filed papers with the Supreme Court supporting Jack Phillips, a baker who refused to make a wedding cake for a same-sex couple.  If the Supreme Court rules for Phillips, it could upend nondiscrimination laws across the country.
