Why is the gay Golden Girls ‘reboot’ being rejected by all the networks?

Stan Zimmerman, writer for Golden Girls as well as the upcoming reboot called Silver Foxes, said the pilot isn’t being considered by any network.  The new show will feature four older gay men living in Palm Springs.  “Unfortunately, we cannot get one network executive to read it,” Zimmerman said. “Or even a producer to pass it to them. We have found ageism and homophobia alive and well in Hollywood.”

Alan Cumming’s new nightlife spot is about to open in NYC’s East Village:

Cumming teamed up with East Village’s Eastern Bloc to open a new cabaret club, named Club Cumming.  The actor hopes the new club will be “a home for everyone of all ages, all genders, all sexualities, who all enjoy letting go and making some mischief. No judgments, no attitude, no rules, except kindness, acceptance and fun.”
