Phoenix LGBT Youth Center Arson: Suspect Arrested
Darren Beach Jr, 26, was arrested on suspicion of arson, and can be seen on video pouring liquid on the floor before leaving as the room goes up in flames. Beach was once a member of the one-n-ten center.
After Anti-LGBTQ Bill Becomes Law, HRC Trains Alabama Child Welfare Professionals on LGBTQ Issues
Earlier this year, Alabama passed HB 24, which enshrines discrimination into law by allowing state licensed adoption and foster agencies to reject qualified LGBTQ foster or adoptive parents based upon the agency’s religious beliefs. HRC has, so far, trained over 200 child welfare professionals and adoptive parents on how to care for LGBTQ youth.

Twice a month, Madin Lopez, genderqueer hairstylist, brings her converted Airstream trailer to the Los Angeles LGBT Center and gives free haircuts. Customers delight in not being forced into gender stereotypes as they have by other hair stylists.
