An LGBT group says it was barred from a Pride parade because it supports Trump

North Carolina’s “Deplorable Pride” group had its parade entry application rejected by North Carolina Pride who indicated it “reserves the right to decline participation at our events to groups or organizations which do not reflect the mission, vision and values of our organization.”

Oregon governor signs transgender rights bill into law

The bill will make it easier for transgender people to shield any updates they make to their birth certificates, a process typically conducted through the court system without privacy, from public view.  California was the first state to enact such protections which are designed to block employers, landlords, or anyone else from digging up birth record changes.

Betsy DeVos Affirms Again That She’s Fine with Letting Schools Discriminate Against LGBTQ Students

As she did before the House Appropriations subcommittee in May, DeVos refused to indicate if schools receiving funding from federal sources would be punished from discrimination against LGBT+ students.
