UK Pardons Thousands Convicted Under Anti-Gay Laws

Thousands of gay men have been pardoned by the British government. The law grants posthumous pardons to men convicted under now-abolished anti-gay laws and also allows those still living to have criminal records cleared.

Sapporo Set To Become First City In Japan To Recognize Same-Sex Partnerships

While technically the law still defines marriage as between a man and a woman in Japan, some progress is being made for legal protections for gay couples.  Sapporo would recognize relationships of non-binary people as well.

Gay Couple Denied Marriage License Continue Fight For Equality In China

A brave gay couple in Changsha, the capital of central China’s Hunan province, were denied a marriage license in the first of its kind court case in the mainland.  The loss has done nothing to quash the resolve of the couple who are determined to fight for their rights.
