There has been an enormous outpouring of support for the Ferguson Library over the last weeks and months as recent events have thrown the community into turmoil. During times when schools and other social services have been closed, this one-person library has become a community hub that continues to support the education and betterment of its community no matter what is going on outside these doors. If you haven’t read about it, I highly recommend it.
Also, there was a post on ALA Think Tank’s Facebook group today proposing nominating the Ferguson Library for the Lemony Snicket Award (for noble librarians faced with adversity). If you would like to learn more about that, you can find the discussion here.
